4. Department of the Protection of Public Interest Activities
Department of the Protection of Public Interest Activities performs various tasks, such as: inspection of the enforcement of laws and other regulations in the field of education, sports, protection of cultural property and
cultural heritage and archival activities; preparation of analyses, reports and information within the scope of work of this Department; monitoring implementation of annual and periodical plans for inspection control; monitoring
administrative and judicial practice; preparation of initiatives for amendments to regulations; implementation of anti-corruption measures and suppression of corrupt acts, cooperation with NGOs; international and regional
cooperation in the field of inspection; cooperation with state bodies and institutions.
4.1. The Sector for Education and Sports Inspection
The Sector for Education and Sports Inspection performs various tasks, such as: inspection of the enforcement of laws, other regulations and general acts in the institutions of preschool education, primary education, secondary education, vocational education, higher education, education of people with special needs and pupil and student standard.
4.2. The Sector for the Inspection of Cultural Property and Cultural Heritage Protection
The Sector for the Inspection of Cultural Property and Cultural Heritage Protection performs various tasks, such as: inspection of the enforcement of laws, bylaws and other regulations in the field of cultural property and cultural heritage; taking and implementing administrative and other measures and actions in order to eliminate identified irregularities and harmonize operations with regulations; issuing misdemeanor orders, submitting requests for initiating misdemeanour procedures, filing criminal and other charges (initiating proceedings before competent authorities); giving initiative to amend laws, other laws and general acts and proposal of measures for improving conditions in this field of inspection; preparation of analyses, reports and information within the scope of work of the sector; establishment of cooperation with other administrative bodies, institutions and business entities; as well as other tasks within its competence.
4.3. The Sector for the Inspection of Archival Activities
The Sector for the Inspection of Archival Activities performs various tasks, such as: inspection of the enforcement of laws, bylaws and other regulations in the field of archival activities; taking and implementing administrative and other measures and actions in order to eliminate identified irregularities and harmonize operations with regulations; issuing misdemeanor orders, submitting requests for initiating misdemeanour procedures, filing criminal and other charges (initiating proceedings before competent authorities); giving initiative to amend laws, other laws and general acts and proposal of measures for improving conditions in this field of inspection; preparation of analyses, reports and information within the scope of work of the sector; establishment of cooperation with other administrative bodies, institutions and business entities; as well as other tasks within its competence.
