1. Department of the Protection of Market and Economy, Games of Chance and Public Procurement
This Department performs tasks related to inspection of the enforcement of laws and other regulations in the field of: domestic trade and services, tourism and hospitality management, work and employment, safety at work, social and child protection, electronic communications, postal activity and information society services, electroenergetics, termoenergetics, metrology and precious metals, control of the activities performed by concessionaires, that is, organizers of games of chance, public procurement; preparation of analyses, reports and information within the scope of work of this Department; monitoring implementation of annual and periodical plans for inspection control; monitoring administrative and judicial practice; preparation of initiatives for amendments to regulations; implementation of anti-corruption measures and suppression of corrupt acts, cooperation with NGOs; international and regional cooperation in the field of inspection; cooperation with state bodies and institutions.; as well as cooperation with other authorities.
1.1. The Sector for Market Inspection
The Sector for Market Inspection performs various tasks, such as: inspection of the enforcement of laws, bylaws and other regulations in the field of domestic trade and services, safety of non-food products, protection of consumers’ economic interests, protection of intellectual property rights, as well as other tasks according to the law (contact point for the exchange of information on dangerous products, contact point for keeping a register of trade reports and a register of consumer complaints); taking administrative and other actions and measures in order to eliminate identified irregularities; issuing misdemeanor orders, submitting requests for initiating misdemeanour procedure, filing criminal and other appropriate charges; giving initiative to amend laws, other regulations and other general acts and proposing measures for improving conditions in this field of inspection; preparation of analyses, reports and information within the scope of work of the Sector; establishment of cooperation with other administrative bodies, institutions and business entities; as well as other tasks within its competence.
1.2. The Sector for Tourism Inspection
The Sector for Tourism Inspection performs various tasks, such as: inspection of the implementation of laws, bylaws and other regulations in the field of tourism and hospitality management; taking administrative and other measures and activities in order to eliminate identified irregularities and harmonize business with regulations; issuing misdemeanor orders; submitting requests for initiating misdemeanour procedure, filing criminal and other charges (initiating proceedings before competent authorities); giving initiative to amend laws, other regulations and general acts and proposing measures for improving conditions in this field of inspection; preparation of analyses, reports and information within the scope of work of this Sector; establishment of cooperation with other administrative bodies, institutions and business entities; as well as other tasks within its competence.

The Sector for Labour Inspection performs various tasks, such as: inspection of the enforcement of laws and other regulations in the field of labour relations, employment, safety and health at work; taking and implementing administrative and other measures and actions in order to eliminate identified irregularities and comply with regulations; issuing misdemeanor orders, submitting requests for initiating misdemeanour procedure, filing criminal and other charges (initiating proceedings before competent authorities); giving initiative to amend laws, other regulations and general acts and proposing measures for improving conditions in this field of inspection; preparation of analyses, reports and information within the scope of work of the Sector; establishment of cooperation with other administrative bodies, institutions and business entities; as well as other tasks within its competence.
1.4. The Sector for the Inspection of Social and Child Protection
The Sector for the Inspection of Social and Child Protection performs various tasks, such as: inspection of the enforcement of laws, bylaws and other regulations from the field of social and child protection; taking and implementing administrative and other measures and actions in order to eliminate identified irregularities and harmonize operations with regulations; issuing misdemeanor orders, submitting requests for initiating misdemeanor procedures, filing criminal and other charges (initiating proceedings before competent authorities); giving initiative to amend laws, other regulations and general acts and proposing measures for improving situation in this field of inspection; preparation of analyses, reports and information from the scope of work of this sector; establishing cooperation with other administrative bodies, institutions and business entities; as well as other tasks within its competence.
1.5. The Sector for the Inspection of Electronic Communications, Postal Activity and Information Society
The Sector for the Inspection of Electronic Communications, Postal Activity and Information Society Services performs various tasks, such as: inspection of the enforcement of laws, bylaws and other regulations in the field of electronic communications, postal activity and information society services; taking and implementation of the administrative and other measures and actions in order to eliminate identified irregularities and harmonize operations with regulations; issuing misdemeanor orders, submitting requests for initiating misdemeanour procedure, filing criminal and other charges (initiating proceedings before competent authorities); giving initiative to amend laws, other regulations and other general acts and proposing measures for improving conditions in this field of inspection; preparation of analyses, reports and information within the scope of work of the Sector; establishment of cooperation with other administrative bodies, institutions and business entities; as well as other tasks within its competence.

The Sector for Electroenergetic Inspection performs various tasks, such as: inspection of the enforcement of laws, bylaws and technical regulations in the field of electroenergetics; control and supervision of the activities performed by business entities which deal with electroenergetics; enforcement of decisions; taking administrative and other measures and activities in order to eliminate identified irregularities and to ensure correct implementation of regulations in this field; submission of requests for initiating misdemeanour procedure, filing criminal charges; giving initiative to amend laws, other regulations and general acts and proposal of measures for improving conditions in this field of inspection; preparation of analyses, reports and information within the scope of work of the Sector; establishment of cooperation with other administrative bodies, institutions and business entities; as well as other tasks within its competence.
1.7. The Sector for Termoenergetic Inspection
The Sector for Termoenergetic Inspection performs various tasks, such as: inspection of the enforcement of laws, bylaws and technical regulations in the field of termoenergetics; control and supervision of the activities performed by business entities which deal with termoenergetics; monitoring enforcement of decisions; taking administrative and other measures and activities in order to eliminate identified irregularities and ensure correct implementation of regulations in this field; submission of requests for initiating misdemeanour procedure, filing criminal or other appropriate charges; giving initiative to amend laws, other regulations and general acts and proposal of measures for improving conditions in this field of inspection; preparation of analyses, reports and information within the scope of work of the Sector; establishment of cooperation with other administrative bodies, institutions and business entities; as well as other tasks within its competence.

The Sector for Metrological Inspection performs various tasks, such as: inspection of the enforcement of laws, bylaws and other regulations from the field of metrology, precious metal products and product safety; taking and implementing administrative and other measures in order to eliminate identified irregularities and harmonize operations with regulations; issuing misdemeanor orders, submitting requests for initiating misdemeanour procedure, filing criminal and other charges (initiating proceedings before competent authorities); giving initiative to amend laws, other regulations and general acts and proposing measures for improving conditions in this field of inspection; preparation of analyses, reports and information within the scope of work of the Sector; establishment of cooperation with other administrative bodies, institutions and business entities; as well as other tasks within its competence.

The Sector for Games of Chance Inspection performs various tasks, such as: inspection of the enforcement of laws, bylaws and regulations in the field of games of chance; taking administrative and other measures and actions in order to eliminate identified irregularities and harmonize operations with regulations; issuing misdemeanor orders, submitting requests for initiating misdemeanor procedures; filing criminal and other charges (initiating proceedings before competent authorities); giving initiative to amend laws, other regulations and general acts and proposing measures for improving conditions in this field of inspection; preparation of analyses, reports and information within the scope of work of the Sector; establishment of cooperation with other administrative bodies, institutions and business entities; international and regional cooperation in the field of inspection which is under the competence of the Sector; as well as other tasks within its competence.
1.10. The Sector for Public Procurement Inspection
The Sector for Public Procurement Inspection performs various tasks, such as: inspection of the enforcement of the Law on Public Procurement in relation to: regularity of the enforcement of public procurement procedures amounting from 3,000 euros to 500,000 euros, timely submission and publication of public procurement plans, invitations for tenders, decisions made in public procurement procedures and public procurement agreements; fulfillment of the requirements for performing activities regularly done by public procurement officials; regularity of making and keeping public procurement records and storage of documents created in public procurement procedure; submission of requests for initiating misdemeanour procedure, filing criminal and other appropriate charges; giving initiative to amend laws, other regulations and general acts and proposal of measures for improving conditions in this field of inspection; preparation of analyses, reports and information within the scope of work of the Sector; establishment of cooperation with other administrative bodies, institutions and business entities; as well as other tasks within its competence.
