In Montenegro, children are now safer from harmful chemicals and other risks in toys due to the alignment with EU legislation and better controls based on EU methodology. This was concluded at a press conference on toy safety in Montenegro, which was held today at the EU Info Centre.

On June 1, the Administration for Inspection Affairs has started with intensive surveilllance in coastal municipalities Ulcinj, Bar, Budva, Tivat, Kotor and Herceg Novi.
Surveillance will be carried out trough domicile and engaged inspectors from Tourist Inspection, Market Inspection, Inspection of labor, Health and Sanitary Inspection, Inspection of Spatial Protection, which will be present every day in the coastal municipalities, as well as in certain mountain tourist centres. Depending on the situation on the ground and potential problems, other inspections will be included in the intensive surveillance. It is planned that around 90 inspectors will be present on the coast.

The Administration for Inspection Affairs is organizing an intensive inspection during the summer tourist season this year too. On that occassion, on 11 May 2017, a meeting of the Coordinating Team for monitoring the summer tourist season was held in the premises of the Administration.

On 28 April 2017, Sanitary Inspection carried out the inspection in the Clinical Center of Montenegro and found that the Team for surveillance, prevention and combating of hospital infections of the Clinical Center of Monenegro, led by the specialist epidemiologist of the Clinical Center of Montenegro, undertook measures for prevention of combating and spreading of hospital infections.

On 19 May 2017, The Administration for Inspection Affairs held a meeting with representative of the Public Enterprise for Coastal Zone Management, Mr. Ranko Malović and representative of rescuers, Mr. Ivan Terzić in order to prepare the methodology of work during the intensive surveillance in the summer tourist season.
